YouTube Shorts Posting Rules: Volume, Timing, and Titles

By Yash Khanna, CEO, Clipt

Posting rules for a new YouTube Shorts channel aimed at avoiding spam detection. During the first 2 weeks, post once per day; after that, scale to 2 Shorts per day with roughly 6 hours between uploads. Do not schedule Shorts, since scheduling can weaken initial distribution versus posting manually, and do not use hashtags, which can limit distribution instead of helping it. Always select "Not made for kids" before uploading, since kids-content categorisation can restrict comments, change distribution behaviour, and weaken audience targeting. Thumbnails matter little because Shorts are discovered through the feed; titles should be short, curious, and emotional.
