Clipt FAQ — Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Clipt Marketplace?

The Clipt Marketplace connects you with skilled content clippers who turn your raw stream footage into viral short-form clips. You set a campaign budget, define your payout rate, and clippers compete to create the best content for your channel — you only pay for results.

How do I choose my rate per view?

Your rate should reflect both your budget size and the type of content you're providing. Here's a simple breakdown to guide you: Campaigns over $150: You have more flexibility and can set rates under $2 per 1K views while still attracting quality clippers. Campaigns under $150: We recommend going $2 per 1K views or higher to make the opportunity attractive enough for clippers to prioritize your campaign. Long VODs that require clippers to watch and find moments: These take significantly more time and effort, so rates of $2.50 per 1K views or above will get you the best results. Short clips that just need re-editing: Since the heavy lifting of finding the moment is already done, a rate in the $1.30–$1.80 per 1K views range is fair and competitive. The core principle is simple — the more work a clipper has to do, the higher the rate should be to reflect that effort. Getting your rate right means faster campaign fulfillment and higher quality output.

How does the payout structure work?

You set a rate per 1,000 views (for example, $1 per 1K views) and a total campaign budget. Clippers earn based on how many views their clips actually generate, and your spending is completely capped at your budget. Even if a clip blows up and earns millions of views, you will never be charged beyond the budget you set upfront. Think of your budget as a hard ceiling — not an estimate.

What happens when my campaign budget runs out?

Once your campaign budget is fully allocated from clip performance, the campaign closes. You're never on the hook for a dollar more than what you committed to.

Why is the number of clippers limited on my campaign?

Unlike other platforms where dozens of clippers flood a campaign and nobody earns meaningful money, Clipt limits slots proportionally to your budget. This means the clippers who join are actually motivated to produce great work because there's real earning potential for them. Fewer clippers, higher quality output, faster results.

How do I choose which clippers work on my campaign?

After posting your campaign, clippers apply by submitting their profile for your review. You get to personally approve or decline each applicant before they gain access to your content. You stay in control of who represents your brand.

What kind of budget do I need to get started?

Clipt is specifically built for campaigns under $1,000, making it accessible for content creators at every stage of growth. You don't need a massive budget to start seeing real content output and audience growth.

How do I apply to join a campaign?

When you find a campaign you're interested in, you submit your clipper profile directly to the streamer for review. Your profile is your pitch — it's how you show the streamer why you're the right person to represent their content.

What goes into my clipper profile?

Your profile should showcase your clipping style, any previous work or examples of clips you've made, the platforms you post on, and a brief introduction about yourself. Think of it as a portfolio meets a cover letter. The stronger your profile, the better your chances of getting accepted into competitive campaigns.

What happens after I submit my profile?

The content creator reviews your application and decides whether to accept or decline you. This is a deliberate process — content creators are selective because they want clippers who genuinely understand their content and audience. If accepted, you'll gain access to the campaign's raw footage and can start clipping.

How and when do I get paid?

You get paid based on the views your clips generate at the rate set by the streamer. For example, at $1 per 1K views, a clip that earns 50,000 views would pay you $50. Payments are processed through Clipt once view milestones are tracked and verified. Your 3-day review window starts when you submit the clip, not when it is approved, and analytics verification runs inside that window. Earnings show as “Estimated Earnings” while we check for fake or botted views — valid earnings then move into your withdrawable balance automatically, and your wallet shows the exact date and time each payout lands. After that first window, each new batch of views starts its own 3-day timer, so earnings keep rolling in.

Why are clipper slots limited?

This is actually one of the best things about Clipt for clippers. On most platforms, unlimited clippers join a campaign and the budget gets spread so thin that nobody earns real money. By limiting slots, Clipt ensures the clippers who are accepted have a genuine opportunity to earn meaningful income — even on smaller budget campaigns.

Is there a minimum following or experience requirement to apply?

No minimum following is required. What matters is the quality of your work and your ability to identify and package viral moments. New clippers with strong profiles and sample clips are absolutely competitive.

Can I apply to multiple campaigns at once?

Yes, you can apply to as many campaigns as you'd like. Keep in mind that each streamer reviews applications individually, so tailoring your profile to each campaign's content style will significantly improve your acceptance rate.

What is a Clipt Card?

A Clipt Card is your public rate card on Clipt. It shows content creators what you offer, what you charge, and links to your past work. You get a unique URL you can drop in your bio or send in outreach DMs. When a content creator clicks it and applies, the whole campaign runs through Clipt.

Who can create a Clipt Card?

Any registered Clipt user can create a Clipt Card. There's no follower minimum or approval process — publish as soon as you're ready.

What types of Clipt Cards can I create?

Two types: Clipping and Posting — You watch VODs, create short-form clips, and post them to Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. You get paid per 1k views your posts generate. Editing — You edit raw footage the streamer sends you into finished clips, paid flat rate per video delivered.

Can I have more than one Clipt Card?

Yes. You can create as many Clipt Cards as you want across both types — for example one for FPS clipping and one for editing.

How do I get paid?

You earn as views come in on the content you post. Clipt tracks views and pays out as the campaign budget is used up. You'll need to connect your payout details in your dashboard before your first campaign. Your 3-day review window starts when you submit the clip, not when it is approved, so analytics verification and the review hold run in parallel. Earnings show as “Estimated Earnings” while we check for fake or botted views, then move into your withdrawable balance automatically — after that first window, each new batch of views starts its own 3-day timer.

What does Clipt take?

Clipt charges a % platform fee on each campaign. You'll see the exact fee displayed when creating your Clipt Card.

What happens if I want to pause or delete a Clipt Card?

You can pause or delete any Clipt Card from your dashboard at any time. Paused Clipt Cards are hidden from your public profile and the browse page — only you can see them when logged in.

What's the minimum budget a content creator can send me?

You set your own minimum budget when creating your Clipt Card. Content creators can't submit an application below that amount.

Do I have to accept every application?

No. You review every application before anything starts. You can accept, decline, or message the content creator to ask questions before committing.

How do I find a clipper?

You can browse all active Clipt Cards at cliptai.com/marketplace/clipt-cards and filter by type, niche, and platform. You can also find individual Clipt Cards directly through links clippers share in their social bios.

What happens when I apply to a Clipt Card?

You fill out a short brief — your stream URL, target platform, campaign budget, and a description of what you want clipped. Your budget is held in escrow while the clipper reviews your application. You're only charged once they accept.

How does payment work?

Your campaign budget is held upfront when you apply. The clipper earns from that budget as views accumulate on the clips they post. If the campaign ends before the full budget is used, the remaining balance is refunded to you.

Can I talk to a clipper before applying?

Yes. Every Clipt Card page has a message button that opens a direct chat with the clipper through Clipt.

What should I include in my brief?

The more specific the better. Tell the clipper the tone you want, what kinds of moments to look for, and anything you don't want posted. A clipper who knows exactly what you're after will produce better content faster.

Can I hire multiple clippers at once?

Yes. You can apply to as many Clipt Cards as you want and run multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Is there a minimum spend?

Each clipper sets their own minimum budget on their Clipt Card. It varies by clipper — you'll see it clearly on their Clipt Card page before applying.
