Reverse Engineer What Works

By Yash Khanna, CEO, Clipt

Stop guessing. Go find what's already working.

Search TikTok, Reels, and Shorts for the type of content you're posting (streamer clips, podcast clips, brand carousels, edits, whatever the campaign is). Look for videos with high views relative to the account size, especially smaller pages blowing up.

Watch the ones that stop your scroll. Break them down:

  • The first 1-3 seconds: the visual or text that made you stay.
  • The text: exact wording, length, placement.
  • Pacing and cuts: how fast it moves, when it pays off.
  • Structure: hook, tension, payoff.
  • Anything else that keeps people watching.

Then copy the formula, not the exact video. Use the same hook style, same pacing, same text approach, but swap in the campaign content and resources. This is how you stop posting random stuff and start posting things that already have proof they can get views.

Do this every time before you make a new batch of posts. The algorithm already told you what works. Listen to it.
