Warming Up a New Instagram Account

By Yash Khanna, CEO, Clipt

A routine for warming up a new Instagram account before posting campaign Reels, so the platform understands the account niche, audience and content interests before it has to decide who the first Reel should reach. Recommends around three days of warmup, watching Reels inside the target niche for roughly one hour a day, liking every second Reel, saving every fifth, and following around five accounts, with the ratios themselves mattering because liking everything is as unnatural as liking nothing. The goal is a heavily niche-focused feed before any campaign content goes live. Includes how to read the result: Reels consistently landing 200 to 2,000 views indicate a healthy account, while Reels repeatedly getting 0 to 100 views mean the account is not recovering and is worth abandoning rather than rehabilitating.
